James Madison was born in 1751 in Port Conway Virginia and died in 1836.
He kept a written record of the Constitutional Convention.
He is known as the Father of the Constitution
He was the author of The Bill of Rights
James Madison was elected the fourth president in 1809. He served two terms and his presidency ended in 1817.
He was the president during the war of 1812.
America was recognized as a major world power after this war, and gained respect.
